Austin Rhetoric Club
presents the annual
Intro to Speech and Debate Workshop
Are you looking for a new and different experience for your middle or highschool student? Speech and debate could be your answer! Your student will learn to communicate effectively in real-world settings, while gaining leadership skills and building Godly character.
At this workshop, you will…
- Be introduced to the fundamentals of speech and debate
- Learn to think logically and quickly
- Develop teamwork skills and create friendships
- Participate in fun activities
- Boldly command the public platform
Also offered is a Junior track for your younger students (12 and under). Juniors attend free with an older sibling. Please keep in mind that at least one parent must attend the workshop, and we recommend that both attend. (Parents attend free.)

Friday, September 10th 3:30pm – 8pm
Potluck dinner
Intro to Debate
Saturday, September 11th 8:30am – 4pm
$35 for first child, $25 for second child; any other children are free (for both days)
Order pizza lunch at registration, or bring sack lunch
